If you mistook this film for a thriller… then you missed the entire film.  This is a love story!
2. Closer
As bitter and angry a film as you will see all year. It skewers modern relationships.
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Endlessly inventive and beautifully written.
4. Garden State
Such a lovely film from first time director, Zach Braff.
5. A Very Long Engagement
Audrey Tautou stars in what is easily the most aesthetically beautiful film of 2004.
6. Fahrenheit 9/11
Michael Moore rips the entire Republican party to shreds.
7. The Passion of the Christ
This is Mel Gibson’s version of reality.  I may not share it… but I truly admire his vision.
8. Kill Bill: Vol 2
Tarantino completes a devastating one-two punch.
9. Dogville
Lars von Trier… An Empty Sound Stage… Nicole Kidman… A Brilliant Script.

Giovanna Mezzogiorno is a superb Italian drama.
t10. The Dreamers
One of the sexiest and most thoughtful films in recent memory.
