PERSONAL INFO
Born in Glasgow, Montana on March 4th, 1965.
Stacy was the daughter of an Air Force officer, and grew up all over the world, from Guam to Alabama.
At 18, she received a scholarship to the Lou Conte Dance Studio in Chicago and began her performance career as a dancer and actress.
Like many of today's stars, Stacy Edwards got her start in the fast paced world of daytime. She played Hayley Benson Capwell from 1986 to 1988 on "Santa Barbara."
After doing several movies and the TV series "Sons and Daughters," in 1997 she joined the cast of "Chicago Hope," which boasts one of the finest ensembles on TV, as Dr. Lisa Catera.
Critical recognition came for her portrayal of the deaf secretary, Christine, in the feature film "In the Company of Men." She received a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress, and the film won the 1997 Sundance Filmmakers Award.
To prepare for the challenging role, Edwards worked with a nurse who taught American Sign Language in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and several hearing-impaired students at a local university in Southern California.
She married actor Eddie Bowz in 1996.
Salary - $100,000 per film.
FINAL NOTE
Stacy is one of those head-scratching Hollywood mysteries. She is such an incredible actress, and as you can tell by the photos, she is a stunning beauty. But she's never really hit it big in a major film. I can't figure it out! It is a shame not to be able to see more of this talented woman... I hope she has a ton of great roles coming up because it would be a travesty to have her drift into obscurity. Note to all directors!!! HIRE STACY EDWARDS!!!
