Sarah attended Indiana University where she studied Italian and fine arts. She spent her senior year in Bologna, Italy. She is fluent in the language.

Sarah Clarke, a native of St. Louis, began acting in the theater while working as an architectural photographer. She took some acting classes as payment.

She moved to New York to study at Circle in the Square and to work with, among others, The Willow Cabin Theatre Company, Axis Theatre Company and Robert Wilson.

Sarah acted in one of the most popular TV commercials of recent years. It was the award winning VW Jetta commercial called 'Synchronicity'... It is the one where a couple drive down a city street listening to a song in which every beat seems to coincide with the actions of the people they pass.

FUNNY QUOTE - "I drove a Jetta all through college, but then I got into this horrible car crash. I was fine, but my little car was totaled, and I never got a Jetta again," she says. "Two years later, cut to me in New York, not needing a car anyway, and getting the Jetta commercial."

She also is featured in the Southwest airlines commercial called 'Lewis'.

In her first short film, "Pas de Deux," she won a CiNY Award for Outstanding Performance at the Brooklyn Film Festival.

Since then, she has made guest appearances on "Sex and the City" and "Ed," and has appeared in two independent films not yet released -- "The Accident" and "Emmett's Mark," which co-stars Scott Wolf, Tim Roth and Gabriel Byrne.

Sarah burst on to the scene when she landed a coveted role on the amazing TV drama '24'. She plays the evil Nina Myers opposite Kiefer Sutherland in one of the most inventive and exciting shows in TV history.

Sarah is engaged to Xander Berkeley, who plays George Mason on "24." They met whilst filming the pilot episode of the show, and the wedding date is set for September 7th.

FINAL NOTE - I hope her role on '24' opens the door for her to do major film projects. I am almost sure it will. I don't think I have ever seen a better TV show or a more involving character than Nina Myers. Sarah Clarke is a fantastic actress and one of the most beautiful women in the world... not a bad combo!!!
