Born Penelope Cruz Sanchez on April 28th, 1974 in Madrid, Spain.  

5' 6'' Tall.

As a child Penelope studied classical ballet for nine years at Spain's National Conservatory.  She continued her training under a series of prominent dancers.

Cruz was one of three children to a merchant and a hairdresser.

She is a vegetarian.

She donated her entire "Hi-Lo Country" salary to the Mother Teresa's children's sanctuary in Calcutta after spending a week there volunteering.

Significant other is Tom Cruise.
