Born Brooke Crista Shields on May 31st, 1965 in New York City.

Brooke is 5' 11'' Tall.

Graduated Princeton University with a degree in French Literature.

She started acting in commercials as early as 11 months old.

Shields caused a sensation with her advertisements for Calvin Klein jeans, in which, at 16 years of age, she claimed that nothing came between her and her Calvins.

Nude photos of Brooke, taken by photographer Garry Gross, when Shields was 10, were displayed in Manhattan's American Fine Arts Gallery, September 10th, 1998. The actress had sued Gross in 1981, tearfully testifying that the pics embarrassed her, but a court decision in 1983 gave Gross the okay to display the photos.

While filming the Blue Lagoon, she had to have her hair glued to her breasts so nothing would show.

Chosen as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People Magazine on many occasions.

Chosen as Time magazine's Face of the '80s.

Between the years of 1980 and 1985, she appeared on more than 250 magazine covers internationally.  That is almost one per week for five consecutive years.

FINAL NOTE

There really isn't a more natural beauty on the planet.  She is as perfectly formed as they come and she is a Princeton graduate... what more could you hope for?  After segueing into comedic television, she has now gone the independent film route with limited success.  I hope she begins to get some great roles because I would like to see her work more often than she has over the last half decade.  She still seems to be paying for a few poor choices back in the mid-80's.  That is a shame because she is a wonderful talent.
