Born Kimberly Alexis Bledel in Houston, TX, on September 16, 1982.

Her first language is Spanish - her mother is from Mexico and her father was born in Argentina.

While shopping at a local mall during middle school, Alexis was picked up by Michael Flutie of Company Management as a model. Her modeling career began in high school and included assignments in Milan and Japan and Los Angeles.

After graduation from high school, Alexis enrolled in New York University as a film major. Alexis continued to model in New York, while also attending college, acting classes and auditions (she graduated from Page Parker Center of Modeling and Acting).

Off set, Alexis likes to read, write, take photographs, go to the movies and spend time with her family.
