2007 ranks as one of
the best so far in this decade, just behind
2002 and 2004. This was a really deep
year with over 80 recommendable titles
hitting movie theatres.
"No Country" and
"Juno" were probably the people's
favorites... and they both land in my Top 10
too. However, foreign films reigned
supreme in 2007. Four French films,
one Dutch film and one English film make the
list.
And, at the start of
the year, I would never have guessed that
the same man who directed "Total Recall" and
"Basic Instinct" would have produced the
best film of 2007.
Of course, there are
always a great deal of stinkers imposed upon
us every year -- and as always, I have my
list of the worst bombs to hit multiplexes
in 2007.
So, without further
ado, let's start with the good stuff...
