MOST BEAUTIFUL FACES 2009
The Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Famous Faces has been published, in various formats, every year since 1990… and in recent years has been seen by millions of unique visitors from around the world. The most recent YouTube videos have received over a quarter of a million views. The lists have been featured on Digg and Stumble and have been accessed almost 10 million times since 2007.
This list is only about beautiful celebrity faces. Unlike the Maxim, FHM, Askmen & People lists, it is not based on the “sexiest”, “hottest” or “best body”. As this is an international list with input from all over the world, you may discover some relatively unfamiliar faces from the far corners of the earth. Despite fame being a pre-requisite, it is certainly not based purely on public popularity. There will definitely be a few big name exclusions because of the specific criteria evaulated — Some who would make the “sexiest” lists may not be known for their facial aesthetic. Over 75 countries have been represented in the Top 100 over the years.
There will be some links to fabulous high-resolution photos. The list will be updated once every year. Feel free to comment below with your suggestions or opinions. Original suggestions are most welcome. Of course, lists are very subjective — you will disagree with some of the choices, but perhaps you will find a new favorite. Selena is a great choice. Jacinda has been on the list before… but sadly, not this year.
I like this list. It’s really about the face here, not about the fact that they’re sexy or not. I’m french and I know who Rose Byrne. She is a good actress & should be more known. And she is gorgeous despite whatever those first comments said.
I agree that Katie McGrath should be in this list at some point, she is drop dead gorgeous.
(I would also suggest Jessica Marais, Roxane Mesquida, Eva Green, Mélanie Laurent, Mylène Jampanoï, Gabrielle Union, Denise Vasi, Elisabeth Harnois, Marina Aleksandrova, Alicia Witt, Kaya Scodelario & Gemma Arterton. But so many…)

Not my top100. Not even close. Who is this girl number one. Noone ever heared of her apparently. Not a pretty face, sorry to say. And Keira Knightley in the top 10??? she should not be in this list at all. I guess this top100 is your personal thing, not ment for other people.

This must mean you are 16 years old or so. Otherwise you would never ever say such a thing. ALOT of older women are more pretty then some young things in your list.
How has someone not heard of Rose Byrne? Are you living in a cave? As for Keira… you are one of the very few people to ever question her inclusion. In terms of age — this list has, over the years, been far more inclusive of older women than any of the Maxim, FHM, Askmen and People lists. It just so happens that Angelina has obviously weathered a little recently. And let’s not be completely politically correct here… youth is not exactly a hindrance to beauty. Perhaps that is why women fight most of their lives to look a little younger. Age doesn’t disqualify any face from this list — but neither does youth — and there are always hundreds of new faces that have to be considered every year. Also — if you have any suggestions for the 2010 list, which is released in a couple of weeks, please let me know now.
I life in europe and never heared of that Rose. As for Keira, i like my women with a little bit more flesh on the bones. She is pure anorexia. You are correct that 100′s of new beautiful girls get in the media. But i don’t care if a women has a wrinkle or 2. Some women even get more beautiful when they get older.
TIP: Perhaps you can put a little picture next to the names, so we can see who you mean. I can remember faces much more easy then i can remember names.
I agree that some women get more beautiful as they age. That is why my list has more over-35′s than any other list you can find. I will definitely be adding pictures to go with the video on the 2010 list — which will be released in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the good tip!
Have you ever seen Kate Beckinsale’s face? SHE IS GORGEOUS! So as Anne Hathaway, Katherine Heigl, Sophia Bush, Natalie Portman, Emma Watson, and Emily Blunt, BEST FACES EVER! And who the hell is Rose Byrne? Herr face shouldn’t be #1, but she is pretty though.

I grant that Angelina would make any of the “sexiest ______” lists. And she was on this list every year from 1999 to 2003. Her highest was 66th. However, she was never really known for her “face”… and time has also caught up to her a little in recent years. Supermodels have also notoriously had a tougher time getting ranked high on this list… again because they are usually famous for their incredible bodies more than anything else. Thanks for chiming in though. It is always good to have other opinions.
Girls Aloud are the best girl band of the noughties and I dare any one to say different.
